No GEO (Longitude or Latitude) data when adding a store

  • Hi,

When I try to add a store to the list, the GEO data is not showing up and therefor the store is not being displayed on the map. When I add the GEO data manually it will show up. However, I want the import to be working.

I did a check on the api with the url: https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?………….) That looks good so I dont know why its not working. When I use the import sample, it does show the GEO. What am i doing wrong?

    thanks!

    Hi Rene,

In order to make the import work with geocode, you will need to create a Google Geocoding key and save it at admin settings page, you can follow the troubleshooting guide available in this knowledge base article here.

You can actually test your Google Geocoding key in the article above to see if they return the address from Google or not. If it does not return REQUEST_DENIED, you can save it at admin settings page and perform the import should work.

    Hi Sofia,

Thanks! The API is working like I tested with the URL (see my previous message) The only time when it does not work when I try to add a store in the backend manually. (also tried the TAB) When I try it with the Add store on the frontend it is working.

Is that normal or should it also work on the backend? (for now if I want to add one manually I do it at the frontend of the site and then go to the backend to publish it.

PS: why is there not a “country” option on the frontend? Now I have to add it manually each time

    Kind regards
    Rene
