Regions are like point of interest (POI) and they don’t tie to any specific coordinate. For instance, if you create a Region and enter an address – Sydney and your radius settings is 300km. (Refer to how radius settings work) Then upon clicking this region it will navigate you to Sydney and show stores within 300km, it will show other regions outside of Sydney as well depends on the radius settings set.
The Categories/Tagging system works the same way, they are tied to the distance radius.
If you would like to group a store to a particular region/group/products regardless of Distance Radius, this will require customization such as this demo https://www.zoundshearing.com/corp/zounds-hearing-center-locator/
Customization can be requested via contact form in the profile page here, which allows you to add & manage a set of Groups, then upon editing/adding a store, you can assign a store to a particular group. In the case of example url above the grouping is State.
