How do I define or limit number of stores to be shown?

Edit index.php and embed.php, search for LIMIT 0,60 (2 occurrences in each file) replace them with any limit you wish.

Take note that Google DistanceMatrix only allow 100 distances per 10 sec, more details available here https://developers.google.com/maps/licensing
