installation error

  • User Level

I just created MySQL db and am trying to install the superstorefinder on my server at the installation step 1/2 at install.php.

I put the database host name as localhost and keeps getting this error.
“Unable to connect to database hostname, kindly check your database details and retry.”
I do not know the database hostname. What can I do?

    Hi there,

Thank you for your inquiry, it seems from the the error, your server might not support or configure with mysqli_connect, you can request for the older version of the code via the contact form here https://codecanyon.net/user/highwarden

    My host is godaddy.com
Does this happen with other goddady customers too?
Also I want to use the responsive version of the code. Does the older version of the code support responsive?

    Hi there,

This is not common, you can try to install the older version first to verify the issue. IF issue still persist, it could be something else which you can send your server details via the contact form at profile page, so our technical team can have a closer look. Yes, it does support responsive as well.

    Cheers,
    Alex
